  • Coordinated Response Service Coordinator conducting risk assessment and intervention recommendation through triaging of Family Violence Incident Reports generated by Police in Kimberley region.
  • Triaging cases in interagency meetings with a collaborative focus to determine actions with Police, Child Protection, ACCO's, and other agencies as required.
  • Assess victim-survivor and perpetrator history, risk factors and strengths utilising the CRAMF framework to determine best support outcomes for victim-survivors. Prioritising culturally sensitive practice working with predominant Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities. Interventions include safety planning, referrals, advocacy and psychoeducation to promote safety and a strength-based approach.
  • Family Violence-informed documentation, accurate documentation of actions, risks and safety planning into shared systems.
  • Supported a Yaruwu victim-survivor at high risk of high harm. Using the CRAMF, assessed her risk as high and triaged her case with the interagency team. Engaged with her to build a rapport and ascertain her goals, we determined that she was not able to or wanting to leave the relationship so we adopted a strengths-based approach to safety and goal plan, provide psychoeducation and refer to culturally appropriate longer term support. The victim-survivor worked to develop an escape plan and utilise all her supports.

Advocated for support and safety planning for the victim-survivor with other agencies and provided FDV education to other agency workers.
