• Supervision and support of children and young people placed within residential or support service, ensuring that their safety and protection in service are upheld;
• Provide care, mentoring, empowerment and support to at-risk youth in therapeutic, residential environment
• Maintaining records and residential reports for reporting needs and other relevant information to case managers or team leader;

Tasks:

• Transportation of customers to and from their desired destinations
• Safe navigation through cities in the state of Queensland and New South Wales
• Properly follow navigational directions from GPS and from the preferences of customers

Tasks

• Planning and attending activities or appointments with young people
• Supporting and managing young people's behaviour
• Using daily routines to provide hands on training of life skills such as cooking, personal care and budgeting
• Working with young people to maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the house
• Completing daily case notes, admin tasks and incident reports
• Facilitation and assistance to children and young people developing skills and achieving goals, including providing them hygiene, health, nutrition and daily living needs and engaging them in activities that are of both a social and learning opportunity to advance their skills
• Work a rotating roster including sleepover shifts in the evening, to provide appropriate services for children and young people within the residential program
• Completed necessary reports and documentation to maintain thorough, accurate case records.
• Provided key emotional support to special needs youth.

Task:

• Engage and support families and their children so that they can enjoy a safe and supportive playgroup experience
• Build trust and consistent relationships with parents/caregivers and children
• Empower families to self-manage their playgroup through support, modelling and transference of skills
• Model and encourage appropriate behaviour guidance for children
• Create opportunities to discuss parenting and family issues within the program
