Being a Proud Bindal/Juru Aboriginal woman who has worked and lived in many communities, I have an understanding of cross-cultural issues and I bring cultural insight around the kinship relations, culture protocol understanding of community expectations and also Torres Strait customs and traditional cultural adoption. I am a believer in truth telling, transparency, governance, accountability and integrity. Brings 18 plus years of valuable expertise to forward Department's objectives, strategic goals and wide-ranging experiences in working with children, young people, families as a Child Protection Practitioner. Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my children, grand-children and family, undertaking cultural heritage activities (ie walking on country, healing and wellbeing retreats). I enjoy reading books, watching and participating in sports, being outdoors, fishing and camping.
