As an Injury Support Officer, I have reduced Lost Time Frequency Rate (LTIFR) in the work place by referring workers to Early Intervention Programs (EIP), Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and Return To Work (RTW) programs, resulting in a safer work environment, reduced injuries and reduced costs.

Key Accomplishments:

• Successfully implemented robust Food Safety and WHS systems that were complaint with relevant regulatory requirements, resulting in zero major incidents.
• Reduced costs by successfully managing and investigating claims made by workers, participating in case conferences with specialist, doctors and physiotherapists and efficiently coordinating RTW plans for the worker to safely return to work.
• Increased number of workers returning to work after an injury by initiating calls, check ups, and meetings with injured workers, insurers and supervisors to communicate situation details and ensure a beneficial outcome for all parties involved.
• Improved hazard identification and risk reduction across the organisation by implementing a comprehensive WHS framework, integrating measures to address psychological hazards and promote employee safety and wellbeing.
• Assessed Work Capacity certificates made by medical professionals for injured workers to ensure the worker is receiving adequate medical treatment and to generate cost efficient RTW programs to implement suitable work duties to accommodate to the workers injury.
