The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) is an Initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India for selected Higher Education Institutes. MHRD has established ‘MHRD’s own Innovation Cell (MIC)’. The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform their idea into prototypes, while they are in formative years. MIC plans to achieve this by systematically fostering the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), by creating individual ‘Institution’s Innovation Council (IICs)’ across selected HEIs.
