Whole Ships Coordinator/ Sub Lieutenant-

Weekly night parades (2) and weekends according to scheduled activities and training for ANC cadets.

Role

The Whole Ship Coordinator (WSC) is the key position in ensuring the Training Ship (TS) organisation operates efficiently, uses resources to best effect and conducts activities that are properly planned, documented and coordinated.

Responsibilities

The WSC’s primary responsibilities are to assist the Executive Officer (XO) in the coordination of the TS management and organisation. The WSC must have an overview of all TS activities, including those in the planning stage and be perceptive in recognising incompatibilities, safety issues or conflicts.

Functions and Duties

  • Management of staff and cadet personnel records.
  • OOD implement the daily routine.
  • First Aid Officer.
  • Administration of logs, nominal lists, and rolls at the TS and on COMS.
  • TS administration and the divisional system.
  • Conduct instructional duties, assisting TS staff as required. with implementation of cadet classes.
  • Develop and assist in implementing of leisure and learning activities for cadets.
  • Public events liaison.
  • Conduct Incident Report (Quick Assessment) as directed by the TS CO.
  • Ensure Duty of Care is being exercised during daily activities.
  • Processing requests through the chain of command.
  • Program and manage divisional meetings and Training ship safety team.
