My name is Billie-jo Devine, I'm 18 years of age and am currently seeking a permanent role where I can improve and perfect my skills, which I can then take into my future careers.
I am a highly dedicated person who is always encouraged and open to learning new skills. I believe I have the ability of leadership, vision, responsibility, honesty, and willing to grow to take park in any future role.
I work well under pressure and am a committed person who takes pride in the things I do in life.
Since a young age I have had the responsibility of looking after my younger siblings. After time, and after more experience, more opportunities opened where I would look after children other than my siblings. Whilst babysitting, I have prepared healthy meals for children still making sure they meet the parents requirements, I would also supervise them whilst multitasking with other jobs like, cooking, cleaning and entertaining. I had to learn how to create a safe environment for children to be around, also making it a fun and enjoyable environment as well. My biggest skill I take with me from babysitting is patience.
My time spent working at McDonalds taught me many skills that I can take into my future. At my short time working at McDonald's I was placed in the kitchen. My responsibilities included following recipes and procedures in order to fry, grill and assemble the food to the specified standard. Another skill would be constantly checking the temperature of foods, keeping it hot and fresh for customers. One of my biggest skills that I take with me from McDonalds, is my ability to work under pressure and still maintaining the high standards, it also taught me healthy communication in a work place. Communication was highly important in the fast food industry and I learnt how to use my voice appropriately to crew and managers.
