I am currently a 2nd year Bachelor of Nursing student at the University of the Sunshine Coast. I have completed my first clinical placement in aged care and am about to begin my second placement. I'm passionate about providing safe, respectful, and person-centered care, and I thrive both independently and in team environments. I'm eager to further develop my nursing skills through an AIN role, where I can apply my caring and positive nature, nursing skills, strong willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care, as I continue my journey in nursing.
I provide assistance and support with therapy appointments, community engagement, and in-home care, helping my clients feel confident and connected. My role also includes short-term accommodation, along with guidance in education, self-help, independence, and life skills development, empowering my clients to build confidence and reach their goals in a safe and supportive environment.
Key contributions in this role included conducting pathology collection for PCR COVID-19 and respiratory swabs, while working both autonomously and as part of a team. I provided professional face-to-face customer service to patients and consistently adhered to PPE and health standards to ensure the safety of both patients and myself. I placed high importance on accurate labelling and packaging of all swabs to ensure patients received the correct results. Additionally, I was responsible for completing stock take orders for COVID clinics and ensuring the clinic was managed in line with regulatory health and hygiene standards.
In this role, I provided administrative support, including filing, photocopying, email correspondence, and data entry using LEAP. I managed office duties, greeted clients, maintained cleanliness, ordered supplies, and handled financial documents. I processed conveyancing files, liaised with legal professionals and clients, drafted legal documents (leases, affidavits, contracts, wills), organised Safe Custody records, and addressed client inquiries professionally.
