Prepared breakfast, recess and lunch orders. This includes printing the order labels, sorting into relevant piles and creating the food orders.
Serving at breakfast, recess and lunch to students and staff members in a polite and friendly manner.
Preparing the canteen for the day, managing the floats for the tills (getting them out the safe at the start of day and counting them up and returning them to the safe at the end of the day).
At the end of day, settling all Eftpos machines and taking the money to the school office, counting and recording all totals.
Ordering from various suppliers including Husky Bakery, V and C, Woolworths, and Lactalis. Being conscious when items are running low and when they need re stocking.
Cooking food per recipe requirements in large batches for routine school breakfasts, lunches, and special events.
Following all proper handling procedures for prepared foods, ingredients, and leftovers.
Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, tools, and equipment.
Restocking condiments, beverages, and utensils per expected use levels. Rotating food items when necessary.
Making sure I am up to date with all the required mandatory training.
