  • Undertake research, analysis and collection of information for a range of tasks relating to shadow portfolios
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of all information presented to the Member
  • Prepare briefing notes, speech notes, media releases, letters and reports on issues related to shadow portfolios which includes recommended actions
  • Managing media requests and presenting draft responses for review
  • Identify and present policy opportunities to the Member for their consideration which includes detailed research, consultation and financial implications
  • Many of these policies have been accepted and presented to the community during the 2025 State Election
  • Identify relevant stakeholders to consult with on a regular basis and maintain relationships with
  • Formulate lines of questioning to be asked as questions with or without notice during question time
  • Analyse Budget Papers and Annual Reports to identify potential lines of questioning
  • Managing constituent enquiries relating to shadow portfolios including drafting all correspondence, liaising with State/Federal Government agencies and engaging with constituent directly
  • Ensure Member is prepared for Parliamentary motions, member statements and legislation
  • Provide advice to Parliamentary Liberal Leader and other Member's office on matters relating to shadow portfolios
  • Monitor media content related to shadow portfolios to ensure Member is aware of key issues and their implications
