I want to work in an organization that recognises hard work, and where I can contribute to the future growth of the company. I have completed my Bachelor of Sport and Recreation with background in Exercise Science through a top world renowned university: Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. I have a strong interest in the sporting and education industry and have gained extensive organisational and communication skills through work and study experience. I have the ability to adapt well in different work situations and in the past have enjoyed the challenge of learning new skills. Whilst working in the pre-cast concreting industry time management was key to the completion of projects and numbers of products required for a specific order. Being part of a small team of workers being able to delegate tasks and put priorities certain jobs that needed to be completed was important as we had a schedule that we had to meet in order to cast our products each day.. Time management is an important skill I have gained through studying full time for the last 3 years: Bachelor of Sport and Recreation and Exercise Science. I have demonstrated this skill through my ability to work well under pressure due to meetings/report deadlines, events organising, development training. As well as being a premier level rugby player, performer for cultural performing arts group, manager of club netball team involved in reserve premier grade level, amateur golf development as well as much more. I have learnt how to be flexible without losing quality of workmanship and constantly prioritising and re prioritising tasks. i am a team player with excellent communication with colleagues through verbal and non-verbal communication. Very good with conflict resolution within the team. Good communication skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills I enjoy building strong relationships and networking with a wide range of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Having effective communication through face to face, informal/formal meetings, as well as written communication is crucial to maintain and achieve deadlines or KPI’s. This was achieved through regular meetings, phone calls and correspondence through emails in regards to venues and scheduled practices, training sessions and reports. In addition as a team leader it was my job to ensure that all conflicts were resolved within the team and resolve any problems that arose, therefore creating a positive and inviting team environment for all members which allowed us to meet deadlines day in and day out. I am a people person open and approachable I enjoy socialising and meeting new and culturally diverse people I also enjoy working with a variety of people of different age groups Having worked in the pre cast industry and various warehouses being a people person able to communicate effectively to people from various backgrounds was key to working efficiently and complete all tasks in a timely fashion and on schedule. Opportunities have allowed me to work at Mount Maunganui College as a sports coordinator/teacher as well as sports coach for all ages and more recently as disability support worker and child safety carer where I created a positive working environment within these various groups, working with students aged between 5-18 years old as well as my fellow colleagues. I also gained the respect of my fellow colleagues as my knowledge and strategies to implement changes and participation by clients to make a change for the positive was applauded and acknowledged by senior management. while working at the high-school my extensive knowledge of Golf, assisted in creating a better delivery of coaching programs. This involved working face to face with colleagues of different levels and coaching styles. The coaches that I worked with had different philosophies changed all the time. Therefore I had to be flexible and change my approach to teaching and communicating with all that were involved. As a result my teams Iv worked within performed better and helped make us more efficient as a team as well as having great communication skills. I am a hardworking Disability Support Worker dedicated to comprehensive, compassionate and individualized patient care. Manages appointments and medication, assists with bathing and grooming and maintains tidy environments. Expert in child safty disability support.
