The Treasurer is responsible for the receipt of all monies received by SUT Perth Branch; and responsible for all payments from the funds of SUT Perth Branch. The Treasurer is to ensure accounting records are kept in such a manner to enable true and fair accounts of the Association are produced on a timely basis.

The Treasurer Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintenance of all financial records
• Review of Budget for the financial year in July and review of the Revised Budgets thrice a year (October; December and March) including monitoring of Income and Expenditure
• Attendance of Finance Meetings four times per year (July; Oct; Dec and March)
• Keep Committee members informed of SUT’s financial position
• Review of the monthly Finance report prepared by the Administrator
• Give a Treasurer’s review at the AGM and present Financial Statements
• Approving all expenses paid through the Online ANZ Banking system (will be issued with a toggle which is used to approve payments). The Administrator will email the Treasurer requesting approval and sending the appropriate documentation to be reviewed before the approval. These must be approved within 7 days or they are deleted from the ANZ Online system (includes all wages)
• Approval of any Bad Debts written off as and when required
• Approval of changes in Bank Signatories and Term Deposits as and when required
• Approval of Office Leases as and when required
• Approval of Insurance documents as and when required
• Liaison with Auditor as and when required
• Signing of Financial Statements as per the Auditor
• Approval of Timesheets (whilst SUT Chair is on leave)
• Attend meetings with regard to SUT(UK) and its financial status.

• Along with other Office Bearers, take necessary actions to ensure adequate governance of the Perth SUT organisation, including monitoring effectiveness of committees, contributions of staff and volunteers, and the health of relationships with external organisations.
• In the lead up to the new Committee year, canvas potential committee members to encourage them to go onto the new committee (to ensure there is enough potential committee members nominating themselves for election)
