- sInvestigate and make decisions on consumer and commercial finance applications.
- Maximise lending outcomes by applying sound credit risk management practices in line with Toyota Finance's (TFA) credit risk appetite.
- Adhere to TFA's zero tolerance approach to fraud risk and compliance risk.
- Serve as the first point of contact for Dealership Business Managers (BMs) requiring clarification on lending decisions.
- Keep dealership network updated on the status of their applications during the acceptance process.
- Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with dealership partners.
- Assess and make decisions on consumer and commercial finance applications, including:
o Analying financial statements
o Making reasonable enquiries and verifications of a consumer’s Requirements and Objectives
o Making reasonable enquiries and verifications of a consumer’s financial situation including but not limited to:
- Employment and income sources and levels
- Expenses
- Capacity assessments
- Credit checks
- Rental references
- Relevant searches which include ASIC / ABN / Veda / Vevo / Equifax / Illion /
- Review contract information for commercial customers and assess the suitability of consumer/commercial loan applications.
- Liaise with accountants and solicitors to clarify or obtain financial information.
- Adhere to all policy, process, and procedural requirements for Retail Lending Operations (RLO).
- Ensure compliance and adherence to such External Legislations as:
o Competition & Consumer Act
o Privacy Act
o National Consumer Credit Protection Act
o Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Terrorism Financing Act
o Personal Property Security Register
- Ensure all lending decisions comply with the Delegated Lending Authority Matrix.
- Discuss lending decisions with dealership Business Managers and communicate professionally and courteously.
- Contribute to business improvement by suggesting and participating in relevant changes.
- Actively participate in coaching sessions, team meetings, and Lending Analyst activities.
- Assist the Operations team during high-demand periods or as requested.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by TFA.
- Consistently achieved Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while maintaining 100% compliance with quality processes and procedures.
- Hold a current Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) of 3A for both Consumer and Commercial applications.
- Actively conduct mentoring sessions to support and guide lower DLA holders, fostering skill development and performance improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Retail Lending Operations (RLOs) outside of SMEs, providing ongoing support and clarification on policies, processes, and assessment-related inquiries.
