I am a student who will graduate with a degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Tasmania at the end of 2024. I am hardworking, resilient, and unafraid to get my hands dirty. I really understand how this industry works. I have been recognised for my teamwork and ability to talk with people and achieve the desired outcomes.
My accomplishments so far in my life have a wide variety.
I had good marks at school, which gave me an ATAR in the top 10% of the nation. I also tutor college students in science subjects such as biology. I have achieved high levels in my sports. I was a national swimming finalist from 13-16 and was the state champion in my preferred events from 12-18. I have been playing water polo for state representative teams from 12 until now and have also been coaching younger teams since I was 14. I have received multiple MVP awards and have recently received an award for my coaching efforts within my club.
I am an avid fisherman who targets everything I can. I spend a lot of time chasing tuna through the autumn and winter and your standard species inland and ocean through the warmer months. I also scuba dive over summer and some of the colder months for crayfish and scallops. I am not someone who can spend all their time at home and needs to be outside and out in the elements. I often go on multiple-day camping trips and do activities from hiking to fishing, etc.
I love my sports and have competed at a high level in most of them. They have allowed me to develop social skills and a strong work ethic. The more time and effort you put into all of my hobbies, the better you get at them. They are not easy to be good at, but if you stick at them through the hard times, you see the success in the end results.
