  • Provision of clinical assessment and nutritional intervention for children with development concerns across community services in the greater Brisbane area.
  • Contributed to child development formulations by completion of nutritional assessments using child development lens.
  • Active member of Micronutrient Deficiency working group within Queensland Child and Youth Clinical Network. The group's aim was to develop a guideline to support clinicians in screening of children for micronutrient deficiencies. This has led to publication of Micronutrient Deficiency Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) that is currently available online through the Royal Children's Hospital.
  • Conducted education sessions for a variety of other healthcare professionals within the child development team for a range of topics including feeding assessments, supporting children with Avoidant Restricted Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) to optimize patient outcomes and to support awareness of the role of dietitian within child development program.
  • Completed multiple quality improvement activities including currently working within a team conducting an audit to determine number of children diagnosed with ARFID and number of children who meet criteria for diagnosis of ARFID but are not diagnosed. This will form understanding of whether the child development program are sufficiently including diagnosis for ARFID as per the DSM-V criteria for children referred to the service.
