Summary

Hello, my name’s Kathy Bagust,

Currently I am the Southern Team Leader for Animo.

At Animo we provide level three (intensive) Mental Health Support Workers to NDIS participants. I manage our client demand, 138 clients and the 24 Support Workers, in my team (The Mighty South) from Saint Kilda through to Pakenham.

Currently I have a team of 24 competent mental health trained employees.

I was promoted to this role after working as a psychosocial support worker for Animo. I really loved the practical elements of utilizing my degree and working with participants as a support worker. However, I was head hunted for my current Team Leader role which has been incredible.

Being a Team leader has been contributed to my skill set extensively. Solidifying skills needed to manage a team of casual employees, in a demanding role that requires reliability and consistency. By fostering relationships and with effective people management I have significantly enhanced team productivity, hiring another seven employees in the past three months and expanding service capacity boarders.

This success is grounded by a foundational customer service background as client satisfaction is held paramount at Animo.

Furthermore, during my social working days I became expert in crisis intervention and client advocacy, additionally my strategic approach to recruitment and mentoring led to improved employee morale and service delivery outcomes.
