As Operations Coach I am responsible for the daily management of operations across multiple site locations in Brisbane. This includes:

• Management of recruitment and workforce planning needs
• Administering budgets with sound cost control plans and expense tracking
• Coordinating team development plans to build empowered, confident and knowledgeable team
• Managing and guiding team through volatile daily work requirements
• Handling problematic customers to assist in maintaining relationships between our customers and our team
• Reporting daily on financial, safety and DIFOT outcomes

In my role as National Leadership and Training Manager (Learning & Development) I carried out a full development of online induction and leadership training from a paper-based model. This revolutionised the way we inducted and trained our front line team as well as developing a pathway for emerging leaders to challenge themselves for management positions. In this role I was tasked with:

• Reviewing and editing all training materials for accuracy and company policy compliance
• Delivered new employee onboarding and training sessions via the Go1 portal, as well as blended delivery methods to negotiate the Covid-19 affected period
• Coordinating technical training and personal development plans for team, nationally
• Directed training programs and development paths for managers and supervisors
• Evaluating success of training programs and recommended improvements to upper management to enhance effectiveness
• Training team during demonstrations, meetings, conferences, and workshops
• Developed and executed the first Academy for emerging leaders within the business
• Created in-depth training materials for all team and management
• Developed induction and training material for our international teams (NZ, CAN, USA)

During my time as National Health & Safety Manager I was responsible for managing 4 State H&S Managers and overseeing the general application of Standard Procedures and Safe Work Practices across the business. This included:

• Implementation of TRIFR measurement across the business nationally
• Facilitated training for 1000 team members
• Development of Health & Safety Audit tools that are still current within the business
• Implementation of hazard and human observation tools that not only reduced risk to the business, but impacted our customer teams positively too
• Inspected job sites and facilities to detect potential health hazards and put corrective measures immediately into effect
• Facilitated meetings with upper management and executives to discuss ways that safety could be improved
• Developed a Safety culture that was driven by human emotion rather than scare tactics and statistics
• Investigated incidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Researched and devised new safety initiatives and strategies to improve safety performance.
