Venesection for therapeutic reason-haemochromatosis.

IV cannulation and administering of IV antibiotic's and iron infusions.

Administration of inhalers for asthma.

Education for patients of self administration of medications.

ECG

Spirometry.

Er syringes.

Hearing tests.

Maintain stock balances and ordering of stock.

Use of computers to document and record all activities in a precise manner.

Able to work on both Best Practice and Medical Director.

All aspects of blood donor care

Interview of potential blood donors to prevent potential blood borne disease transmission

Venesection for collection of blood for transfusion

Aphaeresis unit collecting plasma and platelets.

Working on new blood collection test committee for new computer system being trialled.

Assisting with Anti D program

• Night duty on orthopaedic ward. All aspects of patient care. Documentation of care. Traction set up and care. Post op care.
• Filling in on Head injury ward . Care of tracheostomies including dressing changes and suction of tracheostomy.
• Filling in on spinal injury unit. Assisting. with log roll and general care of spinal injury patients
