My recent job as a swim instructor has equipped me with numerous, essential workplace skills such as maintaining a positive relationship and communication with my customers, both the students and parents. It further improved my general management skills of organizing classes in a manner that would best tailor the needs of all students. Due to the potentially hazardous work environment I was able to prioritize the maintenance of a safe environment and enhance my situational awareness. These skills could effectively translate into skills required within the retail industry as I believe I can provide great customer service, understand customer needs, and maintain an organized, efficient workplace. Whilst I admittedly lack retail experience, I am very eager to learn and attempt new tasks and skills whilst offering a competitive wage and an extensive availability.
