Short stay Surgical Ward

- Prepare patients for surgeries, provide patient care before and after the procedures.

- Assessing the health status of the patients and escalating care as required with appropriate documentation.

- Administering oral, IV medications, IV fluids to the patients.

- Collect accurate health care information and maintain accurate health care documentation as required.

- Daily admission and discharges for day surgery patient.

- Making pre-procedure phone calls to the patient requiring surgery.

Renal, Vascular & Urology

- Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to provide holistic care for the patients.

- Assessing the patient’s health and documenting all the nursing care/intervention in electronic medical records as per hospital protocols.

- Assess the patient’s needs and plan individualized care that addresses the patient’s needs.

- Maintain the appearance and function of equipment such as lifting and mobilizing aids, pressure reducing mattresses and other clinical devices used in nursing interventions.

- Work within multidisciplinary team, make required referrals and implement solid strategies to provide the most comprehensive care possible.

- Assist with daily activities of living that includes feeding, showering, bed washes, transferring using mobility aids, dressing, and grooming.

- Undertake health observations that include blood pressure, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, temperature, and document in electronic medical records within scope of practice.

- Assist in the collection of clinical data as allocated by a Registered Nurse such as patient’s weight, height, nursing admission excluding nursing assessment & 7 history.

- Reporting any health changes to the Registered Nurse.

- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patients and their health.
