  • I worked in a range of roles in both Front of House and Back of House. This opportunity pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and take on new tasks I hadn't experienced before - of which I took to intuitively and quickly found myself a valuable and central part of the team
  • Roles included dishwashing, food prep, delivering meals and tending to patrons, taking orders, serving alcohol and preparing hot drinks, all in a fast paced family restaurant environment.

  • A very interesting and expansive role where I worked efficiently predominantly alone, communicating with my co-workers and managers
  • Over my time here I grew some invaluable skills and unearthed a deep confidence in my abilities and independence.
  • Tasks ranged from opening through to closing the store. This included cleaning, receiving, counting and putting away stock, preparing product displays, sales and up-selling, gaining and exercising knowledge on a range of medicinal herbs and their uses, and a tailored and personal customer service experience for the vast range of customers. It was also my responsibility to tend the tills and do a count twice a day on the open and close, ensuring the store was secure until the next shift.

  • A fast paced, ever changing environment where I learnt to think on my feet, work with team-mates to problem solve and assist customers during the busy Christmas period
  • I was mainly stationed at the point of sale, ensuring the pipeline from customer to back of house ran smoothly, following procedure and ensuring patrons enjoyed a friendly and efficient service. I also served roles in the warehouse, counting and putting away stock, and spent some time on the shop floor assisting customers within my designated department and maintaining a safe, functional and visually effective shopfront.
