Career Overview
I am a registered nurse with over 40 years’ experience. For the last 4-5yrs I have been working for Health Care Australia Nursing agency. I have been working in charge roles and as a senior registered nurse on general, acute sub acute and surgical mixed wards as well as rehab in rural and remote settings. I also worked in corrections during this time. Working in these settings requires adaptability as you may be required to assist in ED, Resuscitation teams as well as mental health care and take on incharge roles and mentoring. Prior to this I had been working at Milton Ulladulla Hospital on the ward and prior to Milton I worked for many years at Nowra Private Hospital as the Hospital Education Manager, a position I had held for many years, combined with the Hospital Return to Work Coordinator and Afterhours Hospital Supervisor. Over time my duties had extended to relief position of Director of Clinical Services, and I was engaged in much of the Clinical Human Resource Management. In my Supervisory role I relieved staff across the hospital and assisted with medication checking and patient assessment. I have been travelling around Australia for the last 5yrs and I am interested in casual work now I have returned home.
