I have worked in Aged care, both in a residential setting, and in the community since 2015 to current. Previous to this, I was a stay at home mum, raising 5 children. I have developed many skills and qualities since then. I am constantly learning, and regularly attend training courses to further my skills and knowledge. I am highly organized, dependably and trustworthy. I have excellent communication skills. I love working in this industry, and have developed many precious relationships with the elderly people I care for, past and present. I am a very caring and responsible person, and I am easy to get along with. My husband and I have just purchased a home in Dalby, and we will be moving there in the first week of November, although, if this application is successful, I can start sooner if needed.

- Attend to the personal and lifestyle needs of clients, both living in the community, and in Aged Care Facility.
- Assist with all personal care, household duties, meal preparation, medication, and transport to doctors appointments, hydrotherapy, shopping, and other outings and companionship.
- Completing documentation in many forms- electronically, paper based & many forms of software and mobile Apps.
- Administration of medications, including insulin & dangerous drugs, update medication charts. Wounds and clinical care. Liaise with RNs, Pharmacists & Doctors. Recorded OB's.
- Continence care, including catheter, SPC, and stoma.
- Provide Palliative care, and emotional support for people who are dying, and for family members who are going through the challenges of a loved one dying.
- I have extensive experience, and constant training in understanding and providing care for people living with Dementia, and the many joys and challenges associated with Dementia.
- I treat people with respect, love and kindness, and I am rewarded in so many ways working with the elderly, as they have so much life experience to share, wisdom, stories of the past, and I just enjoy helping people to maintain their independence.
