Nuclear Medicine Technologist [Full Time]

- Delivering a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures using Siemens and GE systems including bone, renal, V/Q, thyroid, parathyroid, hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, lymphoscintigraphy, myocardial perfusion imaging, and endocrine imaging.

  • Complying with site protocols and quality standards.
  • Adjusting acquisition parameters in collaboration with nuclear medicine physician based on individual patient needs and indications.

- Performing a wide range of routine and clinical trial PET/CT procedures including F-18 FDG [oncology, neurology & infection/inflammation), Ga-68 PSMA, Ga-68 Dotatate, and 1-124 following re-differentiation therapy.

  • Responsible for patient preparation protocols including fasting instructions, glucose monitoring, hydration status and glucose control techniques for diabetic patients.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals using safe IV technique, monitoring uptake periods ensuring optimal imaging time.
  • Troubleshooting common artefacts and adjusting acquisition parameters to enhance image quality.
  • Liaising with nuclear medicine physicians to tailor imaging protocols based on patient history and referral indications.

- Assisting in therapeutic I-131 administration for thyrotoxicosis and thyroid cancer, including radiation safety procedures and post-therapy imaging.

- Hot lab competency in preparation, dispensing and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals such as 99mTc labelled compounds and GFR studies using 51Cr-EDTA.

- Performing daily, weekly and monthly Quality Control of equipment & scanners and documenting results in line with regulatory guidelines.

- Maintaining and recording accurate radiopharmaceutical usage, wastage and inventory levels, including storage and tracking of radioactive wastes.

- Assisting in department audits to ensure ongoing compliance with licensing and radiation safety

- Supporting senior staffs and supervising students where required.
