I am an experienced Claims Management Officer. I would like to apply for the AO4 Senior Claims Management Officer EOI. My transferable skills and knowledge of the claims management processes will assist me to move smoothly into this more senior position.
I will contribute to the delivery of injury management services as part of the Safety, Wellbeing and Capability Unit using my specific claims expertise, communication skills, my understanding of the legislation, and department policies, and use strategic thinking in role outcomes. My current confidence and knowledge puts me in a position to provide leadership and guidance for the whole claims management team.
• Managing sick and long service leave claims in a fast-paced complex environment,
• Liaising with QSuper and Workcover in relation to employee claims,
• Ensuring that all graduated return to work claims and timesheets are processed accurately and in a timely matter to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time,
• working with internal and external stakeholders, and building good employee relationships,
• assisting in delivery of injury management services,
• providing rehabilitation case management,
• proactively modifying, reviewing, and changing claims management processes to improve client service delivery,
• providing quality client service,
• Assisting in the development of rehabilitation and return to work programs with schools,
• Monitoring my personal workload to ensure timely processing,
• Working as part of a team to meet all deadlines
• Offering telephone assistance to all Department of Education staff in the Southeast region,
• Processing all allocated payroll reports,
• Solving pay queries by telephone with employees and schools,
• Solving complicated overpayments, liaising with employees and schools regarding the owing of funds,
• Reporting to my manager on workload and critical issues,
• Undertaking ongoing training in increasingly complex payroll issues,
• Working as part of a very busy, fast-paced team,
• Working to strict time schedules and time cut-offs.
