In this role, I volunteered weekly at an after-school homework learning centre that supported the children of recently arrived refugee families. I assisted primary and secondary school students with reading, writing, and homework tasks, adapting my support to their diverse educational backgrounds and English proficiency levels. I helped facilitate social activities that encouraged peer connection and integration into the broader school and community setting
