I have worked for Corrective Services NSW for the past 24 years in different roles. I am currently a Services and Programs Officer located in the High Risk Management Correctional Centre, which is a highly politically sensitive area. I am comfortable working in high-stress situations and am a dedicated team player.

  • As a Services and Programs Officer, my role entails being able to assist offenders by delivering programs, crisis assistance, and fundamental support services and effectively being a change agent to ensure the successful reintegration of offenders back into the community after incarceration.
  • Currently, I work in the Programs area of the High Risk Management Correctional Centre. My role undertakes specific case planning, assessments, and programs for extremists and other offenders in the HRMCC.
  • I also relieve the Educational Coordinator when she is away assisting the BSI teacher in undertaking education classes. I have recently acted in the Education Services Coordinator's role whilst she was on leave.
  • During the acting opportunity entailed assisting offenders with their university studies by finding ways to assist when they were having issues and also sending and receiving their assessments and marks.
  • I have also had experience in setting up Core Skills Assessments (CSAs) for offenders.
  • Currently, I am setting up the library by cataloguing and registering new books into the KOHA system in Area 2 of the programs unit on behalf of the Education Services Coordinator.
  • Established effective relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally for increased collaboration opportunities.
  • Gathered and organized stationery materials to support offenders with their university studies and educational requirements.
  • Organised new education classes on the Offender Inmate Management System (OIMS) and updated the Weekly register of scheduled classes on EDRMS.
