• Using ELISA technology to detect salmonella, barley stripe mosaic virus, wheat stripe mosaic virus
  and mycotoxins such as Aflatoxin, Fumonisin, Zearalenone, Ochratoxin A, and Vomitoxin in
  human-consumed grains, pet food, livestock feed, and organic fertilizers. Engaging in the entire
  process, including planning, performing experiments, method optimising and interpreting the
  experiment results.
  • Culturing Salmonella, E. coli, and fungal pathogens for studying their characteristics on different
  growth media.
  • Employing selective culture media to detect the levels of Escherichia. coli, Enterobacter
  Aerogenes, Salmonella, S. Cerevisiae, Aspergillus Brasiliensis, and Staphylococcus Aureus in
  human-consumed grains, pet food, livestock feed, and organic fertilizers to ensure biosecurity.
  • Studying the forms and structures of yeast and mould by systematic observations and microscopic
  examination.
  • Using microscopy to observe worms in grains.
  • Using advanced laboratory equipment, technology, and tools to perform experiments and gather
  accurate data.
  • Conducting biosecurity assessments of the entire laboratory environment.

• Assisting lab technicians with the conducting of quality control experiments;

• Writing drafts of SOPs to be reviewed, finalised and, if necessary, redrafted, by an employed lab technician;

• Assisting lab technicians with the storage, registration and positioning of samples.

• Analysis of protein samples in tick-infected cattle serum using SWATH-MS (quantitative proteomics) and ELISA in search of protein biomarkers to identify whether cattle have tick resistance.
• Extract miRNAs from cattle serum and analyze samples using qPCR to look for biomarkers that identify tick resistance in cattle.

• Carried out gene mutagenesis experiments on mold, and analyzed carotene production of mold after mutagenesis by high performance liquid chromatography. Scuuessfully selected high carotene-producing B. trispora.
• Carry out molecular experiments, including DNA extraction, PCR, use of high performance liquid chromatography, design of recombinant plasmids, extraction of recombinant proteins, etc.

• Investigate Dachaoping wetlands and provide technical support for wetland protection.
• Conduct popular science education for staff of National Wetland Park.
