A passionate and committed student driven to support and assist others in realising their full potential. Years of working in various customer service roles have given me the confidence to create enduring, uplifting relationships while achieving sales objectives. A new chapter as a support worker has enabled me to gain some insightful experience relevant to my future career as a psychologist and has made me eager to develop these skills further.
- Assisting a teenage girl with autism and ADHD with her community participation
- Taking her out to wherever she desires for example the city, bowling, walks, shopping, mini golf
- Supporting her in ways that allow her to increase social interaction such as ordering a coffee, and helping her understand the importance of human connection and trusting relationships
- Assisting a young boy living with Autism, cerebral palsy, and an intellectual disability by picking him up from school and encouraging him to participate in the community
- Take him to his physio appointments each week
- Activities done together include baking, playing soccer, watching movies, reading, and getting an afternoon snack
I lead a very active lifestyle and enjoy taking my dog on walks, going to the gym, doing pilates, and occasionally filling in for a netball team.
