Teagan Hall

My interest in Nursing was inspired by my Mum who was previously a District nurse and has shared many stories with me. I have always enjoyed listening to & supporting people when they feel unwell and making a difference in their day. I completed the Diploma of Nursing at Holmesglen in 2021, followed by an EEN Graduate Nurse program through Healthscope, with 6-month rotations at the Victorian Rehabilitation Centre and Bellbird Private Hospital (Medical/Surgical experience). I remained on staff at Bellbird until it was amalgamated with Eastern Health during late 2022. I have since been working between Box Hill Hospital/Angliss Hospital/Blackburn Surgical Centre in a variety of wards, with my ongoing main place of work as Blackburn Surgical Centre. I returned to Holmesglen in Feb 2023 to complete my 2-year Bachelor of Nursing, with aim to finish clinical placements in early 2025.

• MONASH HEALTH MOORABBIN, 12/06/2023, 25/06/2023, Oncology ward for 2 weeks. Common tasks: observations, med rounds, preparing and administering IV meds, observing chemotherapy being given and learning to care for patients with syringe drivers
• BLUECROSS AGED CARE, 03/07/2023, 16/07/2023, Further expanded my knowledge regarding the role and responsibilities of an RN in an aged care setting
• CABRINI HOSPITAL, 05/02/2024, 18/02/2024, Short stay orthopedic ward for 2 weeks. Common tasks: observations, participating in medication rounds, ADL’s, preparing and administering IV meds, wound care and management of drain tubes
• MONASH HEALTH DANDENONG, 19/02/2024, 03/03/2024, Youth Inpatient Mental health unit for 2 weeks. Improved my ability to write a detailed MSE and create professional therapeutic relationships with clients. Common tasks: observations (physical and visual), talking with clients, writing MSEs, risk assessments and siting in meetings
